Anode material options:

• Aluminum (for use in salt and brackish water)
• Zinc (for use in saltwater) 
• Magnesium (for use in freshwater)

Why aluminum instead of zinc for salt and brackish water?

• Performs at least 5% better than traditional zinc anodes in salt water;
• Protects 50% longer than traditional zinc anodes; 
• Aluminum is environmentally friendly - it contains 0% Cadmium, a toxic material found in traditional zinc anodes; 
• Meets the US Military Specification MIL-DTL 24779C(SH);
• Weighs 50% less than traditional zinc anodes;
• Are the only anodes proven to be effective in Salt & Brackish water
